Zomi Re-Unification Organisation(ZRO) has wished General secretary NSCN IM Th. Muivah a sound health and a happy home-coming ceremony following Muivah’s plan to visit his birthplace Somdal village Ukhrul district in October 22.

The Zomi Re-Unification Organisation is a political organization founded in 1993 with the goal of uniting all Zo peoples, who are dispersed across India, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

ZRO issued a release on Monday stating that it is euphoric to learn that Th. Muivah, General Secretary of  NSCN IM has been, of late, permitted to visit his birthplace, Somdal village, Ukhrul District on 22nd October, 2025 after 50 odd years of exile where he began his revolutionary journey.

Considering the hardships, betrayals and agonies Muivah had suffered, endured and overcome for the causes which are dear to his heart, he truly deserves a red carpet welcome says ZRO.

ZRO stated that, “ The octogenarian leader of all revolutionary movements,  Th. Muivah, from his youthful bliss, sacrificed everything for the survival and political identity of his people. He is not just a visionary leader but his statesmanship, diplomatic and negotiating skill is simply unmatched”.

Muivah’s bold and wise decision to enter a ceasefire with the Government of India (Gol) is praiseworthy and it vividly reflected that Th. Muivah and his organisation chose the path of non-violence, peaceful and negotiated settlement of all political conflicts, ZRO stated.

Zomi Re-Unification Organisation (ZRO) also expresses hope that  a long lasting and honourable political solution will be arrived at sooner than later and that Muivah’s visit foster brotherhood, peace and prosperity particularly in the northeast region of India.
