The Zomi Students Federation has accused the Imphal-based Federation of Haomee (FoH) of disseminating hate and communal disharmony in the state.
In a statement, the ZSF-GHQ said it strongly condemns the recent rally carried out by the Federation of Haomee, in which effigies of the leaders of two Suspension of Operation (SoO) organisations, namely ZRO/ZRA and KNO/KNA, were burnt.
As is well documented, the Federation of Haomee has been one of the biggest disseminators of hate and communal disharmony. One apt example of the organisation’s vicious campaigns is its attempt to classify citizens of India into various categories and thereby deny them their constitutional rights,” the Zomi student body said.
“The leaders and members of the SoO groups have always striven for a peaceful political solution within the framework of the Constitution of India, and campaigns by organisations such as the Federation of Haomee reflect poor attempts to vilify and thereby derail the path to a peaceful political solution.”
Through this press release, the ZSF-GHQ said it aims to expose the vicious nature of the said organisation and its leaders.
