Rashtrahit Sarvopari Sangathan has submitted an urgent memorandum to top Delhi authorities demanding immediate arrests and strict legal action in connection with the alleged assault and molestation of Northeastern women in Nehru Place.

The memorandum, signed by the organization’s Founder President, Sohan Giri, was addressed to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the Chief Minister, the Commissioner of Police, and the Home Minister of the Delhi government.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred outside M-Houz Club in Nehru Place, where young women from the Northeastern community were allegedly subjected to targeted harassment, derogatory remarks, and brutal physical assault. The case has been registered under FIR No. 0259/2026 at Police Station Kalkaji.

The organization stated that one of the victims was allegedly attacked with a bamboo stick and had her clothes torn during the assault. It further alleged that the accused persons have continued issuing life threats to the victims even after the FIR was registered.

In its memorandum, Rashtrahit Sarvopari Sangathan raised concerns over the safety of Northeastern women in the national capital and called for swift and decisive action from law enforcement authorities.

The organization has demanded:

  • Immediate arrest of all accused persons whose identities have reportedly been established.
  • Police protection for the complainants due to alleged ongoing threats on social media.
  • An inquiry into the alleged “casual” initial response by Police Station Kalkaji.
  • Fast-track prosecution of the case to restore public confidence in law enforcement.

Calling the incident “heart-wrenching” and “deeply disturbing,” the organization urged authorities to ensure justice for the victims and prevent recurrence of such incidents.

The memorandum emphasized that prompt legal action is necessary to maintain public trust and ensure the safety and dignity of women, especially members of vulnerable communities residing in Delhi.
