Normalcy gradually returns in Churachandpur district

Despite the gradual resumption of normal activities, remnants of burnt vehicle tyres, woods and and other materials used by bandh supports to enforce the bandh were still seen in the road.

Normalcy has gradually returned in Churachandpur ditrict of Manipur on Saturday as movement of vehicles in the main roads have resumed and business establishment has gradually reopened.

The movement of vehicles was disrupted till Saturday morning in Churachandpur district of Manipur since youths block the main roads in different part of the district

However, at around 11 in the morning, youths blocking the roads abandoned their locations for reasons unknown after which vehicular movement resumes in the road and business establishments were seen gradually opening.

Despite the gradual resumption of normal activities, remnants of burnt vehicle tyres, woods and and other materials used by bandh supports to enforce the bandh were still seen in the road.

Earlier, in the morning one of the youths enforcing the bandh had stated that they will continue the bandh untill the Kuki Zo MLAs resign from their post.
